Frank Jensen (Salten, 1956) is a Danish painter.
Frank Jensen was born in Salten and grew up in Copenhagen. He has lived in Catalonia since 1991. Art attracted him from a very young age and his father, a painter and violinist, was his first teacher. At the age of seven he was already doing watercolor paintings. He studied economics, marketing and art. He worked as an illustrator in his country, then traveled to many countries and finally landed in Barcelona. Illustration for newspapers and magazines was his way of making himself known in Catalonia. His work can be found in foundations and many collections in Catalonia and abroad. Frank Jensen is part of abstract expressionism movement and is related “to what Mark Rothko or Ad Reinhardt did in the sixties and seventies”, mixing minimalism and colour.
