Frederic Ballester, a great fan of painting, founded an art gallery in 1987 where the old family Inn had previously been, converting part of the dining rooms of the well-known “Casa Nieves” hostel, which opened its doors in in 1916 in Carrer del Port de l’Escala.

The Port 25 Art Gallery it is now run by her granddaughter Neus together with her husband Lluís, with the same desire to continue promoting local artists in a town where art has always been very present.

Port 25 presents collective exhibitions of emerging and established artists from “Km 0”, betting on local art.
